assalamualaikum...
i've abandoned this blog for a such a long period of time. well there's reason for me to leave it like that. i am so busy with my study, doing AUSMAT for this year and the following year. well why i'm doing AUSMAT? of course for the sake of my passion. i've been offered by JPA scholarship to further my study in architecture in Australia. well i asked for UK but I'm not so lucky. But Aussie is ok what! So to enter universities in Aussie i have to sit the TEE (Tertiary Entrance Examination) and get high rank for TER(Tertiary Entrance Ranking)...hmm it is not an easy job. i have to strive hard starting from the beginning. no matter what happens i have to finish my AUSMAT and fly to Aussie.
different from a level architecture course, this AUSMAT some how has not-related-to-architecture syllabus..i dont know why. dont ask me. it is the Australian way. suppose a student who want to further in archi will learn how to draw basically or anything about drawing during the foundation but we, who are doing the AUSMAT, dont have that kind of things. Apperently, we are studying applicable maths, physics, EAL, and even chemistry and economics. why on earth we have to study chemistry and econmics...well thats the subjects that i have to take. by hook or by crook i have to get at least 85 for each subject*according to the JPA cut-off point* to fly to Aussie. only after that, i'll start study architecture from scratch.
another thing is that we also have to take IELTS(International English Language Testing System) as an extra english course to meet the application of some universities in Aussie. hahaha, it's tough.for me at least. because my english is not so good to easily get that band 7 like others. fortunately, my IELTS lecturer was superb. she taught us a lot about english and how to score in IELTS. apart from that, she is such a nice soft hearted and open minded person. she taught us about life too. i like her. she is one of the best english teacher that i ever have. may God always bless her. by the way, she is Chinese and her name is Mrs Lee. haha. forgot to tell about the IELTS. well, IELTS. hmm it has four modules which are reading, writing, listening and speaking. i like reading the most but writing is not my cup of tea. huh it is so irritating when you have to write two essays in only one hour. anyway, like Mrs Lee always says, IELTS is about time. you have to be very punctual if you want to score the IELTS. hahaha..and it's absolutely true. i always dont have enough time to write the essays and read the long boring passages from the reading modules.
for this year, we actually focus on our IELTS and i had just sit my IELTS exam last week. the result is on next week*yaww...it is so dreadful to think about the result*.along with the IELTS course, we have AUSMAT year 11 or we can call it as a bridging course. it is actually some kind of preparation for us to do the real AUSMAT or AUSMAT year 12 next year. most of the time, we only revise the topics that we have learnt in our secondary school plus some new topics.
haaa, that's what the budding architect doing all this time. and now maybe i'll be active again in posting for this blog..so just stay tuned and wait for my other post later! hehehe
