But Aussie is ok what! So to enter universities in Aussie i have to sit the TEE (Tertiary Entrance Examination) and get high rank for TER(Tertiary Entrance Ranking)...hmm it is not an easy job. i have to strive hard starting from the beginning. no matter what happens i have to finish my AUSMAT and fly to Aussie.

different from a level architecture course, this AUSMAT some how has not-related-to-architecture syllabus..i dont know why. dont ask me. it is the Australian way. suppose a student who want to further in archi will learn how to draw basically or anything about drawing during the foundation but we, who are doing the AUSMAT, dont have that kind of things. Apperently, we are studying applicable maths, physics, EAL, and even chemistry and economics. why on earth we have to study chemistry and econmics...well thats the subjects that i have to take. by hook or by crook i have to get at least 85 for each subject*according to the JPA cut-off point* to fly to Aussie. only after that, i'll start study architecture from scratch.

another thing is that we also have to take IELTS(International English Language Testing System) as an extra english course to meet the application of some universities in Aussie. hahaha, it's tough.for me at least. because my english is not so good to easily get that band 7 like others. fortunately, my IELTS lecturer was superb. she taught us a lot about english and how to score in IELTS. apart from that, she is such a nice soft hearted and open minded person. she taught us about life too. i like her. she is one of the best english teacher that i ever have. may God always bless her. by the way, she is Chinese and her name is Mrs Lee. haha. forgot to tell about the IELTS. well, IELTS. hmm it has four modules which are reading, writing, listening and speaking. i like reading the most but writing is not my cup of tea. huh it is so irritating when you have to write two essays in only one hour. anyway, like Mrs Lee always says, IELTS is about time. you have to be very punctual if you want to score the IELTS. hahaha..and it's absolutely true. i always dont have enough time to write the essays and read the long boring passages from the reading modules.

for this year, we actually focus on our IELTS and i had just sit my IELTS exam last week. the result is on next week*yaww...it is so dreadful to think about the result*.along with the IELTS course, we have AUSMAT year 11 or we can call it as a bridging course. it is actually some kind of preparation for us to do the real AUSMAT or AUSMAT year 12 next year. most of the time, we only revise the topics that we have learnt in our secondary school plus some new topics.

haaa, that's what the budding architect doing all this time. and now maybe i'll be active again in posting for this blog..so just stay tuned and wait for my other post later! hehehe

~whaT shouLD yoU studY~

Your Learning Style: Unconventional and Insightful

You are very intuitive and ingenious. The diversity in architecture has spread along thousands of years. Since people know how to create and build building. They just use simple layout and design based on things around them – the rocks and the dates’ fronds and the woods and the trunks. e.g: Quba mosque.

(Quba mosque nowadays)

Then when Islam spread more and Muslim armies conquered a huge expanse of land, they also needed places to stay and to pray. So they built homes and mosques based on the model of the Prophet's house or adapted existing buildings for their own use.

And then, from these buildings, the vocabulary of Islamic architecture is derived and used for buildings of lesser importance such as public baths, fountains, anddomestic architecture.

Styles

Persian architecture

Moorish architecture

Turkistan architecture

Ottoman Turkish architecture

Fatimid architecture

Mamluk architecture

Indo-Islamic (Mughal) architecture

Sino-Islamic architecture

Afro-Islamic architecture

·

First, the Persian Architecture

Fundamental principles

Underlying characteristics

Iranian architecture is based on several fundamental characteristics. />since I was asked by mom to start skecthing and drawing if I really want to be an architect, I started to think what should I draw...Hmmm..I was really at my wits' end...I don't know what to do...so one day I just realised that my dad had a magazine 'bout home design which he bought when he was studying in USA...so I tried to search for that book.....well it was so tiring to find that book...Hmm actually have you ever faced this incident : if you don't need that thing, it can just be anywhere around you but when you really need it, it just disappear and hard to be found...and that was what happening when I tried to search for that mag....but Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah, i finally found it in a box at attic upstairs...

So, I began to draw the simple one....and here is the result...
quite bad, right?.....
but it's ok...
Even the Rome Empire cannot be built in one day!!

And this one is my favourite....I don't know why I really like this house..mybe because its location..hillside...and the design also...

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" called prisma colour....haha it does looks like a hightlight marker but with much more wonderful colour...but too bad..I can't use it properly..heheheh..(don't worry yana..there's always a room for The word "architure" was derived from the Latin architectura, which itself came from the Greek architekton which meant "master builder". According to William George in his book World Architecture, architecture may be described as "the art of designing and creating beautiful, durable and useful building... Structure which are built with only stability and strength in addition to usefulness in mind may be described as works of engineering. It is only when the idea of building beautifully in conjunction with strength and utility is introduced that the science of building becomes the art of architecture."

WHAT ARE THE PROSPECTS OF BEING AN ARCHITECT?
Besides practising in the government or private sector, an Architect may also be engaged by a developer, contractor or teach in a University

WHAT DOES AN ARCHITECT DO?
*An architect is a person trained and qualified to carry out the following tasks:
*Planning
*Building Design
*Landscape Design
*Urban Design
*Interior Design
*Leading and coordinating the input of others in the building team
*Liaising with approving authorities and certification
*Supervision during construction

WHO IS MOST SUITED TO BECOME AN ARCHITECT?
Beside passing all the examinations and getting the necessary grades to qualify for admittance into an architectural course in a recognised school of architecture, the student ought to have:
A love for the arts
An appreciation of space and forms
An affection for the heritage and tradition
A sensitivity in all matters related to the senses

WHERE TO GET THE TRAINING?
Architecture training is almost available in all countries in the world. For courses in architecture overseas, kindly refer to the list of recognised schools available at http://www.lam.gov.my/accreditation_list_pre.htm

WHAT ARE THE ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS?
Course work generally consists of lectures, laboratory work, group discussions, seminars and studio work where students work on the drawing board and computers.
